Gabriel Owope holds a B.Sc degree in Business Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, 1984 and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from same university, 1988. He qualified as a Chartered Stockbroker in 1994 and was licensed as an Investment Adviser/Portfolio Manager in 1996. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Nigeria.

Mr Owope has over 22 years working experience in financial management with core competencies in Capital Market operations and Asset Management. He is a major shareholder in and also the MD/CEO of the firm of Gild Asset Management Limited, situated at MAN House in the highbrow business area of Ikeja, capital city of Lagos State. Prior to that, he set up and managed for seven (7) years FB Asset Management Limited, Victoria Island Lagos, having worked in Benchmark Finance as an Assistant General Manager for 10 years and First Finance & Trust as a senior financial analyst for 3years.
He has attended several training programmes around the world some of which include the World Pension Conference, Washington DC in May 2003 organised by the World Bank. Also, Mr Owope attended the Changing the Game – negotiation and Competitive Decision Making by the Harvard Business School in August 2004 and Leading an Innovative Organisation of the Wharton Business School in 2007. He is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School, a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria and also a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and the Institute of Chartered Administration of Nigeria. He was a recipient of the prestigious Financial Integrity Award 2003 by the CREDITNEWS Nigeria. He currently pioneer and runs an initiative that is putting together 1 million people under various savings and investment scheme for Poverty Alleviation. This, known and called The Dream Team Concept scheme has received wide acceptance and recording outstanding success with over 150,000 already registered.

A widely traveled man, Mr Owope is married with three (3) children.
