Susan Tayo obtained her first degree in Accounting from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile Ife and later qualified as a Chartered Accountant 20 years ago. She had her professional training with the then Arthur Young & Osindero Chartered Accountants which later became Ernst & Young , Osindero, Oni & Lasebikan.
She is currently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a full member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CIIN). She has since over the years worked as a senior and management staff in various sectors of the economy including Finance, Insurance, Manufacturing and Education. She was at various times Head, Funds Unit of Shell Petroleum development Corporation, Manager Finance & Admin, Mutual Trust & Funds Ltd, Finance Manager, Fidelity Bond of Nigeria and Financial Accountant, Pharma-Deko Plc.
She is an experienced banker having headed various departments including Domestic Operations, Administration, Human Resources and Corporate Banking in New World Merchant Limited and TrustBank of Africa Limited, now Sterling Bank Plc.
She was Director of Finance, CETEP City University, Now University of Industry, Akoka, Lagos and Assistant General Manager, Finance & Operations, Dunamis Microfinance Bank Limited. She will bring her wealth of experience to bear as Group Head, Operations & Corporate Resources, GS Microfinance Bank Limited.
Susan, a member of Ikoyi Club 1938, is married with children.
