He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Lagos and was called to bar in the year 2006. Sonny also holds a Diploma from Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State and attended the Business School, Manchester, England.

He has a background of over 16 years experience in merchant, commercial and microfinance banking and legal practice. He had worked with former Alpha Merchant Bank Plc. before moving to Capital Bank International Ltd (now in merger with Access Bank Plc.) where he worked in various departments and desks including Corporate Banking, Funds Transfer, Marketing, Organisation & Methods, Head of Operations, Legal Department and Debt Recovery. He was in private legal practice before joining Dunamis Microfinance Bank Limited.

He has attended various courses on career development and management courses.

Prior to joining GS Microfinance Bank Limited., he was the Head of Legal Services/Admin, Parkway Microfinance Bank Ltd, Lagos.

Sonny is happily married with children.
